Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of kurumaworks.com and related services (the "Service"), operated by KurumaWorks ("KurumaWorks," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

The Service

KurumaWorks is an online marketplace that connects vehicle owners ("customers") with independent mechanics and repair shops ("mechanics" or "shops") so they can find each other, book appointments, and communicate. KurumaWorks is not a mechanic or repair shop, does not perform vehicle repairs or maintenance, and is not a party to any agreement between a customer and a shop. Shops are independent businesses responsible for the services they perform.

Accounts

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
• You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your account credentials secure.
• You're responsible for activity that occurs under your account.
• You can sign in using email/password or through a third-party provider (Google, Facebook, or Apple); doing so is subject to that provider's own terms as well.

Customers

Customers can search for mechanics, request or book appointments, message shops, and leave reviews of completed appointments. Appointment requests are subject to a shop's acceptance and availability. You're responsible for providing accurate vehicle and contact information and for showing up (or canceling with reasonable notice) for appointments you book.

Mechanics and Shops

Mechanics can create a shop profile, list services and pricing, manage appointments, and communicate with customers through the Service.

• You're responsible for the accuracy of your shop profile, including services offered, pricing, hours, and staff.
• A standard shop listing includes a free trial period, after which it converts to a paid monthly subscription; current pricing is shown on our Pricing page and may change with notice.
• Subscriptions are billed and processed through Stripe. You can cancel at any time from your dashboard; your listing stays active through the end of the billing period you've already paid for.
• You're solely responsible for the quality, legality, and safety of the services you perform - KurumaWorks does not inspect, supervise, or guarantee the work of any shop.

Payments

Where the Service involves a payment - a shop's subscription, or a price shown for a service - payment is processed by Stripe. By making a payment, you agree to Stripe's own terms of service. KurumaWorks does not store your full payment card details.

User Content

"User Content" means anything you submit to the Service - profile information, messages, photos, reviews, and similar content. You keep ownership of your User Content, but you grant KurumaWorks a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and distribute it as needed to operate the Service (for example, showing your shop's photos on its public profile, or a review you left).

You're responsible for your User Content. Reviews should reflect a genuine experience with a shop; we may remove content that's false, abusive, or otherwise violates these Terms.

Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
• Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity.
• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent content, including fake reviews.
• Harass, threaten, or abuse another user.
• Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems.
• Scrape or harvest data from the Service other than through features we provide.
• Circumvent the Service to transact directly in a way intended to avoid fees or obligations owed to KurumaWorks.

Third-Party Services

The Service relies on and integrates with third-party providers, including Auth0 (authentication, including Google/Facebook/Apple sign-in), Stripe (payments), Amazon Web Services (hosting and email), and Google Maps (location services). Your use of those integrations may also be subject to that provider's own terms and privacy policy.

Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. KURUMAWORKS DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY MECHANIC OR SHOP WILL MEET YOUR EXPECTATIONS. KURUMAWORKS IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ACTS OR OMISSIONS OF ANY MECHANIC, SHOP, OR CUSTOMER YOU INTERACT WITH THROUGH THE SERVICE.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, KURUMAWORKS AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR ANY TRANSACTION OR INTERACTION FACILITATED THROUGH IT. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO KURUMAWORKS, IF ANY, IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE.

Termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or if we reasonably believe your conduct harms KurumaWorks, other users, or third parties.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in North Carolina.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date above. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
